Healing of a Mute Man

Why would Satan make a person mute? Satan tries to hurt God and destroy His people in many ways and forms. The educated, soft-spoken, dressed-up Pharisee and the violent, self-cutting, always-screaming demon-possessed man living in the tombs were both controlled by the same demonic power and had the same destructive purpose. This story, and many others in the gospels, remind us that Jesus is more powerful than Satan!
